Wasteland...

I think this is my first deviation without borders o_O. Well, after my previous piece I wanted to make something better than that (it wasn't too hard :/), and I've been wanting to use terragen in a piece for awhile now. So I came up the idea of a planet that got hit by a meteor and some of the debris from the destroyed planet ended up landing on the POV (terragen) planet. Still with me? Good.

Scientists we're sent to the POV planet to recover missing artifacts, but what they were sent to find and what they will find are two very different things... muhaha. Yeah, well, not really.

Anyway, hope you like it, and hopefully it makes up for my last piece.

:D

Nah, no need to cry about it, it's nothing special, just a picture. ;) I really appreciate the kind words though, and i'm happy that one of my pictures can brighten your day :)

Its all cool and all but the only thing that looks outta place is the exploding planet on the right. Something about it just looks odd.

Great minimalism as always Kaioshen. :) There is lovely crispiness to the details as well as the nice luminescent bright highlights in this piece. I also enjoy the varied scenery/composition and that mistiness on this moon which works well to represent a light gaseous atmosphere slowly forming. I would however suggest you improve the broken planet, i.e., it doesn't seem to affect the rest of the planet (such as fissures, atmosphere loss, inhabitants lights) nor give off much of a glow at the crust (although it looks nice in space). Also the crust seems to cutoff very smoothly, when I imagine it should be rocky. The shuttle also suffers from this smoothness, such as the edges of part missing a chunk look smudged. Still, to end this comment, I'll also say I really enjo the scale with all the elements, such as the giant moon rock and the spacenauts.

I agree about the smudged shuttle and softness of the planet, I must have overlooked those, i'm gonna be fixing some little things that I forgot to touch up. As always, I appreciate your comments man

very epic scene you got here mate.. very nice detail and I like the concept.. a nice thought of story! only the blown up planet looks a bit fake and takes away the realism.. but props for the rest

A very dramatic and realistic scene. The broken part of the planet seems to have an angle thats a bit too even, but thats no big deal, the rest of it all is great. Especially the other two planets.
