I haven't done a spacescape in awhile, so it was nice to have a change of scenery. I've been working on my piece for the TS pack, dunno if it'll be selected or not, but it's coming along pretty nice. About this piece though, it's actually pretty good for how long I spent on it. I only spent about not even a day on it, so for that it looks pretty good. The only thing that I don't exactly like is the texture in the back, I feel like it shouldn't be so rough, but it does go pretty well with the scene, so I left it. Also those freakin render lines, I hate those things!
And yes, i'm still in the learning stages of making an upclose planet, so I used *Baro's tutorial. I need a better computer. 512mb ram is murder!
Edit: Just some little additions to the piece. Fixed the trails of the larger shuttle, added clouds to the 2 other planets, and some other things. I think it looks better.
That nebula is wicked and judging by your comments, you are able to honestly see the pro's and cons in your work, I can't belive it was done so quickly! "omg: and yes, I went from 512mb RAM to 1gb about a year ago, mostly to make my 3D stuff go a bit faster, it can be costly though

background is really perfect, great colors and details, also great glare. great planet textures as everytime. i dont like just one thing here.... that tale from shuttle... it has strange path if you know what i mean...just like she is falling down or something. also you could remove that vertical effect from shuttle engines.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
