Returning Home from the war is always easy, looking into your families eyes and telling them everything is going to be alright, isn't. Walking past the crosses that have been laid for my mother and father, reminds me of the times when there was peace and hope in the world we lived in. Now it just seems like we do nothing but kill each other, relentlessly fighting one another in battle after battle until only one victor remains.
If that victor is me, then fine, let it come soon. But if it isn't, may God be with me until the day I die and forgive me for putting my sword in to every person who comes between me and the safety of my family.
Slightly inspired by Gladiator, it's a great movie. This was probably the most fun I have ever had making something, I enjoyed every minute with this project. This started out as a TG render that I did last year I think, I did a few edits here and there but I let it go for about 4 months or so because I coldn't come up with anything to do with it. And I have to say that i'm glad I did, cause it would have never turned out like this.
This was my first time painting anything, and I think I did a pretty good job, but i'll let you all decide on that. I'm not too sure if the lighting on the tree to the left is exactly correct, but it looks alright.
A very beautiful scene here. I love the grass in the foreground, really gives the image a new dynamic level really. The only thing taht I find a little negative here is the centering of the house there. In my opinion there's rarley any reason for centering anything cuz wen you center something it enhances the feeling of symetri and stiff perspective. In your case here it's not THAT bad since you have such a variated landscape around so it still looks good with the houses position.
Try not to make any centered things further on if it's not planned to be symetri pieces or something, just a little tip .
I like the outcome hre still, it containst a beautiful message aligned to the text.
