Started this one last month I think, it said the file had been corrupted so I never bothered with it again. But I saw it tonight and thought what the heck, let's try to open it. I didn't think it would, but it did, and it wasn't too bad. I had a few good planets, although one I severely screwed up and had to replace it with another. :/
I like it though, it's calm, but edgy. The asteroids for me make the whole thing. And while were on that, i'd like to add that the asteroids came straight from `hameed's asteroid stock. I really need to learn how to make asteroids...
Anyway, that's that, i'm done, I like it, I hope you do too, if not, ok.
Yeah I've used it too, but back in times when I wasn't able to get photoshop, so I just had some renders with nothing but black bg. it sucked, i'm glad i have ps now
if there is anything i really need to work on, its the space itself. ive got the planets down and blending and lighting - but i need to work on the actual nebula crap - then im all set! this looks nice.
Great work. I love nebula or star glow, whatever you want to call it. . (Fractal?) It seems to me like it's trying to escape but being pulled back in.
One thing though, you might want to watch that sun. The glow it's giving off is doing that layering effect (if that's the right term ) Try to gaussian blur that out but that always seems to screw up the star itself so maybe select out the star and feather it a tad to make the transition more smooth then gaussian blur it. Just a suggestion though.
