I honestly have no idea if this is even possible with these planes fighting each other, but I wasn't trying to focus on facts. Instead I wanted to give the impression that this was a still taken from a movie. Hopefully I have done that, but if not then I know I had fun making it and if people like it then that's a bonus for me. Forget facts for a moment and enjoy the piece.
The plane models and textures are by Anders Lejczak (~bazze, [link]), rendered in 3DS Max with mental ray. Hopefully he will be happy with how I used them.

The Spitfire shows one flag of Poland because the scheme are from one Polish Volunteer this pilots fight in Europe , this one Spitfire MK VB vs one Ki 84 Hayate/Frank Spitfire MK VB was used by RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) in 1942 but the unit have combat in September of 1943 , late on Birmania / India the RAAF used the Spitfire and change to VIII in april of 1944 having trouble even against zero and using German Tactics vs Japanece fighters because the only advantage was the speed.
Ki-84 was used by Japan the first time in march 1944 Hankow vs P-40 with success late fight in Philippines, Iwo Jima, Korea, China, Formosa, Siam and Okinawa their actions focused vs USA fighters.
This fighter was superior technically to Corsair , Hellcat , Spitfire/Seafire , Lighting , Tunderbolt , Mustang but like all great gun from axis , appeared too late in small numbers.
Some Captured Ki84 were used by Indonesia in the war with Holland 1946 1949 2 squadrons by China in Korean war with many loses vs USAF jets and retired in 1956 2 squadrons used by Taiwan too in USA by the TAIC "Tactical Air Inteligence Center" 1945 6 planes by South Korea to 1952 when was retired for new F-86 for the pilots
